Do you want to learn how to make life better for animals living in the wild?
Animal Ethics spreads awareness of speciesism and promotes respect for all sentient beings, with a particular focus on wild animal suffering.
We are accepting applications for internships to help support this work. Our aims include finding possible ways to help animals in the wild and defending animals exploited by humans.
If you share our goals and want to improve your skills, please consider applying for one of our volunteer internships.
While working remotely on a flexible schedule, you will have the opportunity to improve your research, analytical, and communication skills and be part of a team committed to improving the lives of animals.

Remote, open to international candidates
Duration
Negotiable, for at least 1 month, 8-25 hours per week
Application closing date
The deadline for this round of internships applications is December 31. Applications will be considered as they come in.
Projects offered
1. Communications
Helping with public relations and online outreach
2. Visual Media
Creating infographics, scientific illustrations, or video animations
3. Translations
Translating website pages into French, German, Danish, Italian, Chinese, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Romanian, or Swedish (no previous experience necessary, but you’ll be asked to complete a short translation test)
4. Research
- Researching topics related to the sentience of vertebrates and invertebrates.
- Writing literature reviews on topics related to the study of wild animal suffering
- Writing case studies about ways to helping wild animals. Examples include vaccination, urban welfare ecology, and rescuing animals victims of weather events
- Research assistant to summarize papers, scientific blog posts, and forum posts
5. Perspectives on global animal activism
Working on how to best approach animal activism in one of the following countries.
China
India
The Netherlands
6. The legal situation of animals
- Researching the legal situation of animals in different countries
- The regulatory system around developing and administering vaccines to wild animals in the US
- The legal status and relevant laws and treaties for wild marine animals in the USA
7. Grant writing
8. Wild animal suffering
Supporting outreach activities, such as reaching out to academics, students, and other potential stakeholders and organizing events to raise concern about wild animal suffering and promote research on this topic

We are based in the USA, also work in Europe and Latin America, and are planning to expand to other places in the near future. Our materials are distributed internationally.
